My friend recommended this place so my sister and I decided to try it out on our way home. It was really good. The refried beans had really good flavor same with the tortilla shells. Portions are also really big.
My favorite road trip food is probably tacos, and sure, maybe that's because I usually travel around the western U.S. and it's always a good gluten free option. I stand by that decision.
Beaver Taco is one of my favorite places to stop in the last year. It's a great stopping point when you're going to take US-89 to Arizona, and really, it's the last really convenient stopping point for a fair bit.
I'm always looking for nice taco spots. Beaver taco has a nice simple clean dinning. A small salsa bar. The tacos were $2 each for street tacos and were exactly what I typically expect. The meat was good and overall I plan to return here.
Honestly, I'm a little worried they won't stick around. They don't usually seem busy when I stop. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Maybe it will help keep them around for me (great!) or you will find some delicious tacos for yourself. Sounds like a win-win.
But it's not just about convenience. It's also about carnitas. It's the best form of taco, without a doubt. They do it real justice: the carnitas is fried (probably in a pan; I didn't watch them do it) and crisped. I like carnitas in its many forms, but fries and crisped is easily my favorite. It's also probably the least healthy option. No regrets.
Awesome tacos! Great food! A little bit of a language barrier but they do pretty well and it's worth it for the authentic tortillas like mom makes. Guacamole is great too. Drove 2 1/2 hours just to eat here and then turned around and went home. Beautiful drive!
Came for the name, stayed for the burrito. The food was actually very good with very generous portions at a good price and super friendly service. I shared the Carne Asada Chips (like nachos but cheese wasn't melted) with my daughter and we struggled to finish them, which was sad, because they were delicious. My husband got the recommended California burrito which had the unique twist of fries on the inside (also very good). And they have a salsa bar! I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is up there as one of my favorites. Definitely a great option when passing through.
The soft taco portion size is immense. Keep that in mind, especially if you've been eating car snacks for the past three hours. This is probably the biggest $3 taco I've seen.
