Cute little place off the main strip. Had the chicken strip basket with tater tots. I liked it! Banana shake was great!
Has nice aspects, and a high school loyalty, but not a gourmet burger and shake place.
I've heard of Mel's and how good it was but had never stopped there before. Oh my goodness! I ordered the chicken strip basket and everything about it was perfect. Good chicken, perfectly cooked fries, cheese toast and ranch dressing that I'm pretty certain was homemade. What a great place for a quick dinner!
I would have given a higher rating if they hadn't WAY undercooked my cheeseburger. Like just killed the cow under cooked! Normally I would just go back up and have them fix it, but I was across the street watching my son's playoff game. I came during half time. I would have missed an entire quarter if I had run back to have them fix the food they messed up. The fries were super delicious though! I bet the burger would have been really good had they not forgot to cook it.
We tried this place for the first time heading back to SLC and we loved it! Their good was great and so we're their shakes. I had a root beer freeze which is hard to find in Utah and it was delicious! We will return each time we pass through. Their bathrooms were immaculate too!
